The Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku will host a grand Jewish music festival featuring performers from Azerbaijan, Israel, the United States, and Europe. The event promises to showcase the rich musical heritage of the Mountain Jews alongside contemporary Jewish musical traditions from around the world.
The festival program includes klezmer ensembles, traditional Juhuri folk songs, classical performances, and modern interpretations of Jewish musical themes. Special emphasis will be placed on the unique musical traditions of the Mountain Jews of Azerbaijan.
The iconic Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid, provides a stunning backdrop for this cultural celebration. The venue’s world-class acoustics and architectural beauty will enhance the concert experience.
Organizers expect over 2,000 attendees, including members of the diplomatic corps, cultural figures, and music enthusiasts from across the region. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Jewish Community of Azerbaijan.
